Before getting to this weeks desktop, there's a couple of things I wanted to remind you about.  First, expect the next update to be on time.   Second, the previous weeks wallpaper is always still available by clicking the preview to the left found on this page.  Enjoy!

Above is this weeks free desktop. This week we move back a place I do truly enjoy showcasing, Grand Canyon National Park, this time around coming from the South Rim. Grand Canyon is one of the top parks in America and it is truly difficult to capture the true scope of this wonder in my description or photos, to really appreciate this marvel, one needs be there, standing on the rim just attempting to breathe in it's beauty. This weeks photo is from just off the Rim Trail around a 1/4 mile west of Yavapai Point. This is looking westward shortly before sunset, just when the colors that evening started to show. I have to admit, I really like this May 2007 shot and it's in my top five of all my sunset shots (in my warped mind at least (: ) There really are numerous opportunities for staggering views from either the North or South rims and most of the time with no rails or barriers to get in the way of this amazing experience! There are many miles of trails to hike, a few 4x4 roads to explore, and actually being able to venture down into Grand Canyon itself (from either the North or South rim) makes this an experience where you'll be hard pressed to run out of new possibilities for exploration. This is a park everyone needs to visit at least once, so sit down and plan a trip here. Honestly, it will be be something you'll never forget. Check the links section for more info on Grand Canyon National Park.
