Above is this weeks free desktop. Back once again to a place I truly enjoy showcasing, Grand Canyon National Park, this time from the South Rim. I, along with many others, believe this to be one of the top parks in America and the weeks a wallpaper of the Grand Canyon is up, allows me the opportunity to relive the wonderful experience when the shot was taken. Now for me, the true scope of this wonder cannot be conveyed in words or even photos, you have be here, standing on the rim, to even have a chance of understanding it. This weeks photo is from Grandview Point, a wonderful overlook on the Desert View Drive. This was shot looking west, late afternoon just a couple of months ago in June 2005. There are numerous opportunities for staggering views both from the North and South rims (and you might not believe it, but there is a big difference between the two), many trails to hike, a few 4x4 roads to explore, and actually being able to venture into Grand Canyon itself makes this an experience where you'll have a nard time runnig out of new possibilities. Go on, plan a trip here, your only complaint should be why you waited so long to come. (;
